With less than a month to go, preparations are now well under way for Car Show Mk3.
Over 30 vehicles are already booked in and, if the previous two shows have been anything to go by, there will be a rush of registrations over the next couple of weeks as the date gets closer! Bookings so far include a McLaren Formula 5000 racing car, an Austin Ten/Four Cabriolet, a TVR Chimaera, a Morris Mini Cooper, a Caterham Super 7, a Ford Pop and a Lancia Aurelia, to name but a few.
Aside from the cars there will be bacon sandwiches, cakes and drinks available, plus a bouncy castle, a treasure hunt and a chance to vote for your Vehicle of the Show. 1st Lutterworth Scouts will also be here running their own activities.
Entry to the event is free. For food, activities and car pitches we ask visitors to simply put a donation of their choosing into the fundraising pot – all of which will go to the Scouts.
A raffle will be drawn towards the end of the event. Tickets are on sale now in Reception if you can’t make it to the show but would like to support the fundraising – all money from ticket sales will be added to the Scouts’ funds. Some great prizes have been kindly donated including
- a tin of biscuits and toffee, plus a £10 voucher from Flackies Lutterworth
- rechargeable, bluetooth speaker from J Wells & Son
- bottle of Bells whisky from Morrisons
- set of 11 Callaway golf clubs
- £30 of Love2Shop high street vouchers
- and an MOT test
